It differs from<a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/fr\/learning-centre\/sales\/upselling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">upselling<\/a>, which consists in increasing the value of the product sold. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Easy to use<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can easily make the first sale at a low price and then increase the total value of the sale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We&#8217;re not taking any risks, because we&#8217;ve secured the initial sale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sales method<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The classic method is to sell the basic product or service first, then offer additional options.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another solution is to proceed in three stages:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Selling the basic solution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offer complementary products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Come back with a larger, but more advantageous package. This is the menu versus a la carte technique. Sometimes, this package is more expensive. For example, if a customer decides to order a starter and main course for $30, we offer the menu for $40, but this includes dessert and a drink.
